Molding and injection

Silicon compounds silmix® are intended to be processed by utilising either a pressure method in molds (compression molding and transfer molding) as well as by utilising an injection method (injection molding).

Wide scope of both resistance parameters and hardness within the range of 20-90ShA enables to manufacture any required detail that would meet your particular requirements that is:

  • resistance to media,
  • resistance to water steam up to 130°C,
  • resistance to low and/ or high temperatures (within the range of -50°C - +300°C),
  • low or high abrasion (within the range from 30 to 600mm3),
  • low compression set (even from 10% in 22h 175°C after first stage of vulcanisation),
  • high tear resistance (up to 50kN/m).

All silmix® compounds possess perfect flow properties and fast curing. They acquire nearly complete mechanical parameters after first stage of vulcanisation (only slight post-curing is required), which results in cost-effective production of ready-made details.

We enclose a BfR and/or FDA food facilities certificates that include detailed parameters of the required production method upon request. Compounds are available in natural colours, according to RAL colour chart or in compliance with delivered colour chart.

Selected applications:

  • o-rings, simmerrings, oil-grease-temperature-resistant seals,
  • technical seals,
  • plates,
  • steam-resistant details,
  • membranes,
  • masks, half-masks,
  • baking forms,
  • mould-making forms,
  • printing-stamps,
  • leading circles for profiles,
  • very high temp. resistant details,
  • exhaust hangers,
  • spark plug boots,
  • economy details,
  • and many others

silmix® is a trademark protected in Poland under no. R-130530 since 23/03/1998 for use in connection with the ready to use silicone rubber compounds produced by sulsil® company
